Apiarian Collection

The apiarian collection is a collection of KÁTKI (Institute for Small Animal Research and Co-ordination Centre for Gene Conservation). The predecessor of this institute is the former Hungarian Royal Academy for Poultry Workers’ Training for women established in 1897 and the Honeybee Breeding Farm established two years later. The unique collection of bee farming machines collected over the years has been exhibited with the help of KÁTKI.
Opening hours: please check in previously and consider it can be visited only during working hours of the institute.
