World War I memorial

Liberty square

The memorial for the town's World War I victims, the work of Lőrinc Siklódy, was inaugurated in 1931, September 7. The names of the victims are engraved in a list on the pedestal. Due to the renovation works of the Main square in 1874, the memorial was transported to the cemetery in György Dózsa road and then brought back to the Main Square again in October 1990.
