The Statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is erected close to the entrance of the Castle Church by the Liberty Street. It is a baroque style statue erected by Antal Grassalkovich I. The tribute for Saint John of Nepomuk started in the 18th century in the Habsburg Empire: he was praised as patron of fishermen and water millers and a great number of his statues can be found by rivers and bridges.
