Our Ancestors Set Foot on the Motherland: Stained Glass Window in the Premonstrant Church

After the original building of the Premonstrant Church was secularized and occupied by the former Agrarian University, now Szent István University, the new Premonstrant Church was built not far away from the university, in Fácán street (Fácán sor). The church was consecrated in 1993. The noble simplicity of the church is counteracted by the beauty of the 16 squaremetres stained glass window on the back wall, which actually acts as the altar picture of the church. The designs were made by a member and founder of the Art Colony Gödöllő, Sándor Nagy. The work is that of Erzsébet Szekeres, a major handicraft artist.
