The Premonstrant Cemeter

The Premonstrant Cemetery can be approached on foot from the back of Szent István University's main building. It is next to the town beach in a beautiful forest.  János Fadrusz's bronze duplicate of the “Crucifiction of Christ” was placed on the grave of Menyhért Takács (1861-1933) provost prelate and founder of the Premonstrant Monastery in Gödöllő. After the earthly remains of Menyhért Takács were transported to his home village in Jászóvár, the cross remained at its original place, in the cemetery. The cemetery was created in 1927 by Premonstrant monks.
