Kálmán herceg lovasszobra

Hat éves korában lett Halics királya Árpád-házi Kálmán herceg (1208-1241) II. András fia, a premontrei rend nagy mecénása: jászói monostoruk felépítését birtok-, és pénzadománnyal segítette. Az 1226-ban horvát bánná kinevezett herceg a tatárok ellen vívott muhi csatában szerzett súlyos sérüléseibe halt bele 1241-ben. A vesztes csatában halt hősi halált Ugrin kalocsai érsek és Montreáli Jakab templomos lovagrendi nagymester, portréjuk a szobor talpazatának két oldalán látható. A Kálmán herceget lovon ábrázoló szobrot a hálás premontrei rend állíttatta, a hercegtől kapott birtokok jövedelméből épített premontrei rendház elé, felavatására 1931-ben került sor.

The Árpád House's Prince Kálmán - son of king II. András - became king of Halics (now Galicia, Ukraine) at the age of 6. He was the great patron of the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) Order: he helped the construction of their monastery in Jászó (now Jasovska, Slovakia) with endowing the land and donating money. The prince, who was designated Ban of Croatia in 1226, had been seriously wounded in the Muhi battle in 1241 fighting against the Mongols. He died a month later in Zagreb. He died as a hero after the lost battle along with Ugrin Archbishop of Kalocsa, and James of Montreal master of the Templar Knight Order whos portraits are shown on the sides of the statue's base. Prince Kálmán's bronze horse statue was erected by the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) Order in 1931 at the entrance of the monastery of Gödöllő.
